Kevin Southern, Deputy Treasurer

Kevin Southern, Esq., has served as Assistant District Attorney for Erie County since 2022. Prior to his current role, he was EEO Investigator for Erie County. From 2019 to 2020 he held the position of Law Clerk at  Goldberg Segalla, and from 2018 to 2019 he was a Consumer Fraud Law Intern in the Office of the New York State Attorney General. Southern was also a U.S. District Court Judicial Clerk Intern.

Southern brings to his role as MBAWNY treasurer a wealth of experience in the banking industry. He served as a Cash & Trade Processing Manager and Operations Coordinator at Citi. Further, at Bank of America he was a Senior Operations Analyst and before that a Mortgage Servicing Specialist.

Additionally, Southern was a Constituent Relations Representative for the New York State Senate in 2010.

He earned both his law degree and his bachelor’s degree in political science and government from the University at Buffalo. He served as president of the Student Bar Association while in law school.
