Attending attorneys can gain all the information needed to qualify as a Guardian Ad Litem in Surrogate’s Court (and other courts) proceedings. Expand your knowledge about Part 36 of the NYCRR, the required forms, and the appointment process. In addition, you will be instructed as to your obligations as a Guardian Ad Litem in various types of proceedings. Also, you can gain 5.5 CLE credits!
On October 23, 2024, students and lawyers joined us at the Western New York Legal Diversity Career Fair, which was held on the University at Buffalo’s North Campus. The fair was meant to help foster a more diverse and inclusive legal workforce.

In spring of 2024, at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, we had the honor of co-presenting an event: “Educating Communities of Color Through Cancer Awareness,” which was a panel discussion to help increase knowledge about cancer, as well as topics centered around cancer.
At Hodgson Russ LLP, we held a March 20 presentation: “Practical Attorney Ethics and What You Need to Know About Grievance Committees.” This is a one-hour ethics CLE credit.
We explored the complexities of “848: Criminalization of America” via a panel discussion and screening at Buffao State University.
The Bar Association of Erie County, University at Buffalo School of Law, and the Minority Bar Association of WNY teamed up to launch Buffalo’s first legal diversity career fair.
